This residence was one of the original houses in Emerald Beach and had not been renovated since the day it was built back in the 1970,s. It was a major renovation and challenge in converting this double storey concrete block home into two villas.
There was extensive concrete cancer in the existing suspended concrete decks which all had to be demolished and rebuilt again. There were many meetings and consultations between myself, the client and Design Studio 22 (Tony Ross) in achieving the concept and design to maintain within all of the local building requirements. Most of the rooms were designed around the beautiful views of the beaches, ocean, islands and mountain ranges.
It was a tremendous pleasure working with Tony Ross and the client who made my job a lot easier in there approach to many areas of construction. As the photos show, it was a huge transformation in all areas of the existing home and the end result was very satisfying for everyone involved with complete client satisfaction.
